Over on www.kingsroadmerch.com they have the new album available for pre-order.  It’s available Aug 31 for about $10.  Originally I had heard that there was 18 tracks on the new album but according the site 3 bonus tracks are included.

SO if you have not all heard, the new album is set to be released on Aug 31. Add to that the band has said they are planning a fall US tour. Unfortunately they have not posted the dates for the yet – I guess it’s still inthe planning stages. Still I was able to track down a few shows that have been booked. Looks like the tour starts in early September on the east coast and ends in October on the west coast.

Well just a little over a week away before Shamrock Fest, can’t wait.    Anyway, Fil Madzin from Verbicide Magazine has just posted a great interview with Mike just before the band went in to record the new album.

“Describe to me, head to toe, your typical Street Dogs fan. Who’s the guy under the headphones, listening to your songs?
You know, I’ve tried to do that a lot in my own mind, and I think, luckily, we seem to reach a wide variety of people in as so much as fans are concerned. We have punk rockers, kids who are into hardcore music, and just everyday people who come to our shows. I couldn’t really come up with a stereotypical breakdown of a Street Dogs fan………”

Word is that the new album, set for a late summer/ early fall realease, is to be titled “Rabble Rousing”.  After hearing a couple of the songs planned for the album, I would have to say the title is right on.

SLow as usual.  If you have not been checking the Street Dogs web site then you may have missed the fact that the guys are going back on the road.  Well airplane, actually, over to Europe for most of April and the early part of May.  Check out the Dates page to see the current list.

While there you might notice that they are doing a few dates in Colorado while they are there recording a new album.  They are planning for a new album release late summer or early fall.

Also, I have not seen it post on any Street Dog related sites yet, but they are listed as playing the Shamrock Fest in Washington DC on March 13.  This year at the Shamrock Fest they have a great line-up including The Roots, The Tossers, Scythain, Enter the Haggis and Black 47 just to name a few.  This is a great festival for $20 and if you are of age $70 gets you all the beer you can drink plus admission.

Well I am back from the Wreck the Halls tour.  Made it to the Philly, NYC and Boston shows all while avoiding a snow storm for the most part.  In a few days I will give some up dates for SD plans for 2010.  In the mean time check out one of the the new songs they played “Roll and Rattle” – Recorded in Boston on Saturday Dec 19.

So the European tour is now over, with the Street Dogs heading back to the States to play Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin Texas on Sunday.  Anyway, DeadBySunrise.co.uk has a review of Thursday nights show at The Academy”.  You should check it out along with all of the photos posted.
